Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba is held at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. It is jam-packed with excitement and fun for all ages from start to finish.
However, time is running out to see this spectacular show. The final performance will take place on December 31, 2017.
Thus, there's no doubt that tickets to see La Nouba would make a splendid gift this holiday season.
Since its premiere in 1998, La Nouba has performed nearly 9,000 shows and entertained over 11 million guests. The Cirque du Soleil show gets its name from the French phrase "faire la nouba," which means "to party" or "to live it up."
After watching such a visionary work of art, you'll understand why it's such a perfect name for the show. It really is a big party with non-stop entertainment: There's high-flying acrobats, hilarious clown performers, stunning dance moves and so much more.
The clowns keep the audience laughing all night long, interjecting between the various stunts. These two are a big hit with the children in attendance, though they do interact with some adults by bringing them on stage.
Other highlights include two artists performing twirls and stunts while essentially hanging from the ceiling rafters, as well as various balancing acts, flying trapeze artists and the PowerTrack finale. This grand ending of the show features 394 flips and 62 twists in under eight minutes. The performers jump up, down and all around multiple trampolines, pulling off some insane moves along the way.
In fact, since the launch of the show, there have been nearly 3 million flips in the PowerTrack act alone!

All this takes place with live musical acts playing 22 instruments during the show.
While your eyes focus on the various stunts happening on stage, six musicians are hard at work delivering high-quality sound. It's an underrated part of the show, but also one that helps make La Nouba so terrific.
There are two shows, five nights a week, which means these artists are constantly training. Given how dangerous many of the acts are, safety is such a key focus for the artists and their coaches. After all, practice makes perfect.
The intense training leads to a stunning show that is guaranteed to have your jaw dropping on numerous occasions. There were times I nearly leaped out of my seat in amazement.

As of right now, there are no plans announced for what's next at Disney Springs in place of La Nouba. Disney and Cirque du Soleil have a strong relationship so, hopefully, a new Cirque show will take its place in 2018.
For now, catching one of the final performances is an absolute must.
