A Walt Disney World hotel employee is getting coal in his stocking this year after he admitted to stealing almost $50,000 from the theme park in 2016.
According to WFTV.com, 31-year-old Jamaica Hall of Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested Monday after he issued fraudulent credit card refunds to hotel guests and transferred the money to his checking account.
The theft took place between April 2016 and December 2016 and totaled $48,531 in refunds, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Office representative. Investigators revealed no hotel guests were impacted by Hall's plot.
During that time, Hall worked as a front desk concierge host at multiple Disney World hotels. When he was confronted about the stolen money, Hall admitted what he did to Disney officials and was fired.
Hall was booked Monday into the Orange County Jail on charges of grand theft and is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bail.
