Disneyland Park has announced a new entry-gate process at both of its California theme parks meaning guests will no longer pass through the “old-fashioned” but beloved by many turnstiles.
Upon entering the theme parks through the esplanade with a reservation and valid ticket, guests will scan their ticket at a screen and take their photo at the automated and modernized gates. If you’re traveling with a group or family, each guest can then use the screen to take their own picture. Camera technology can automatically adjust to all heights, including the little ones in your party.
Once the ticket is scanned and the photo is digitally attached to your ticket, the entry gates swing open, and your entire party can head into what Walt Disney called the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
Those with multi-day tickets or a Magic Key pass will appreciate that the process requires only one photo for the entire visit. Guests with Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), wheelchairs or families with strollers can easily pass through the newly accessible gates. In addition, the gates will also have an access point to tap your MagicBand+ for easy, hands-free access.
Select guests with valid theme park admission can also skip the main entrances by entering at these locations:
