Disney is always magical, but it's about to get a little more strange at Disney's California Adventure.
Coming soon, Disney guests will be able to encounter Marvel superhero and Master of the Mystic Arts, Doctor Strange, at various points throughout the park.
This news comes on the heels of the park's addition of Black Panther and Dora Milaje fan encounters, and is timed conveniently around the upcoming release date of Avengers: Infinity War-a movie in which Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) will play a large role and which is expected to shatter summer box office records.
Doctor Strange entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2009 with one of Marvel's most critically lauded movies. Prior to that, the character was created in the pages of Marvel comics back in 1963 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Considered one of Marvel's smartest and most powerful heroes, the movie reintroduced the character to fans everywhere thanks to amazing visuals and a stellar performance by Cumberbatch.
California Adventure is becoming known for its Marvel presence. Other super-hero experiences include the aforementioned Black Panther encounter, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: BREAKOUT!, "Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance-Off!" and Heroic Encounter: Spider-Man and Captain America.
Disneyland also made big, family-friendly news recently with the addition of mobile ordering.
