Are you a Blanche, a Rose or a Dorothy? Perhaps you're a Sophia who speaks their mind. In any case, you can soon find out at a "Golden Girls" cafe that's opening in New York City later this summer.
Who knew nostalgia could make you so hungry?
Entertainment Weekly reports a wonderful friendship is leading one man to devote time and energy in bringing back the hit show in the form of a diner called Rue La Rue Cafe, which is promised to open at 4396 Broadway in the Washington Heights area this August.
So you have time to bring together your contingent of wise-cracking friends for the occasion.
The cafe is the brainchild of Michael J. LaRue who was a close friend of the late actress Rue McClanahan who played the famously saucy Blanch Devereaux on the hit show that aired from 1985-1992.
Some 24 years later, the show will see new life in the form of items McClanahan had saved through the years. And there will even be merchandise for sale and menu items that should put a smile on your face.

LaRue tells EW: "We're going to have Bea Arthur's pasta salad, Estelle Getty's chocolate chip cookies, and Rue's orange poppy seed cake. Of course we'll have Sophia's lasagna al forno and goodies from St. Olaf by (Betty White's) Rose."
Speaking of Betty White, Yahoo! reports the beloved actress will make an appearance when the diner opens to the public.
EW states that McClanahan's son, Mark Bisch, is also working with LaRue in the upcoming project and was tasked with trying to get in touch with the Walt Disney Company to secure various rights.
Not only did Bisch do an admirable job, but he also won the ability to sell merchandise. So we imagine you can walk away toting memorabilia of your own at what is essentially a Golden Girls museum where you can eat.
