If all goes according to plan, the year 2016 will afford travelers in London the opportunity to enter a café, order something to eat and stare at the world's ugliest darn animal ever discovered.
Mashable's Sam Haysom reports the least appetizing face in the animal kingdom may soon greet customers who are as hungry as they are curious, giving them the opportunity to meet an actual blobfish, a fish that looks like infant Benjamin Button but wetter.
By now you are pretty interested to hear more, because we know we are. So for the next 12 months we will be keeping tabs on Blobfish Café's website for more details.
Thus far the website yields vague information such as the diner opening sometime in the summer of 2016.
Though officials do offer that things are progressing quite nicely.
The website states, "Next summer we are proud to be opening the world's first pop-up aquarium in the heart of East London."
The release continues with more info and an introduction to the blobfish family we will soon get to meet: "Over the past 18 months we have been working with some of the world's top marine biologist to understand how we can safely transport and comfortably home these deep sea dwellers. And the hard work has finally paid off. We have secured our perfect venue (not easy when you need to recreate a deep ocean environment!) and work on 'the tank' has begun in earnest. We currently have three Blobfish all packed and ready for their London holiday - Barry, Lorcan and Lady Swift."

We already love where this is headed.
For the moment the exact location and opening date are being kept under wraps. But we imagine once both are unveiled there will be a virtual mosh pit as diners clamor for reservations.
Thankfully, the kind of overt staring done in this café won't be considered rude.
