Jungle Island, an eco-adventure park in South Florida is bringing the first permanently installed vertical wind tunnel with free fall simulation to Miami.
Named SuperFlight, the wind tunnel floats guests over Jungle Island, for unmatched views of Miami's skyline. Each 45-minute session includes gear and training by world-class Latvian wind tunnel instructors and gear. The attraction, Miami's only outdoor skydiving simulator, also offers nighttime flights for an even more distinctive look at South Florida's most populous city.
For guests just looking to beat the summer heat, the park is also introducing NeoSplash, a new kid-friendly water park with four jumbo-sized water slides reaching as high as 65 feet.
"Jungle Island continues to evolve as Miami's only eco-adventure destination, with carefully designed amenities such as SuperFlight and NeoSplash turning the park into a focal point for families and friends to enjoy," said John Dunlap, President of Iconic Attractions Group. "The progress we have made is palpable, and we continue to move forward with bold plans to create a premier destination that reflects the city's diversity and growth."
Later this month, Jungle Island will also introduce escape rooms featuring three unique plots and themes that combine both theater and amusement. The rooms, designed by escape room specialists George Domati and Zoltan Jorensczy of Escape Logics, will provide children and adults with experiences that integrate Jungle Island's natural environment.
Guests can also look for additional food and beverage options at Jungle Island's new food and beverage pop-up, Pink Flamingo Kitchen, which features such tasty grab-and-go fare as BBQ bacon burgers, jalapeño poppers, baby back ribs or pickled fries.
Jungle Island also anticipates to introduce a number of new attractions later this year, including Flying Squirrel-an indoor trampoline park; a Nerf Battle Zone; a flow rider wave machine; SKYWIRE-Miami's first immersive zip line course; and Joia on the Beach-a beachfront dining experience.
Expansion plans will culminate with a manmade crystal lagoon, which is scheduled to open next summer.
