A slew of new travel posters has us itching to boldly go where, sadly, we can't go (yet).

Unfortunately, the kind of travel touted in NASA's newest retro posters is the stuff of science fiction, so you will merely have to pop open a book or simply close your eyes and daydream of the day when soaring through space is a reality.

Not to worry, because new posters released by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory makes it all the easier.

As The Next Web reports, the images you see below in the form of tweets comes by way of Invisible Creature, and each paints a wonderful image of a world on the go.

The actual project was launched by JPL NASA, whcih currently has 14 gorgeous posters in its Visions of the Future campaign.

A grand tour of the cosmos is touted right next to sojourns of Mars and Enceladus.

Now if these seem like beautiful banners that would fit perfectly in your office then you are in luck.

You can visit Invisible Creature and buy the three print set for all of $50. It should go great right above your model shuttle, Millennium Falcon and replica tricorder.

Now this is an ongoing thing with JPL, which also offered up a set of promising posters last year.

Again, you can find more downloadable posters at the above Visions of the Future website.

For the moment, lengthy trips mandate going through painfully exhausting TSA screens, cramped confines on an airplane and awkward encounters with your fellow humans.

The only real payoff is you get to see another part of this planet.

Ah, but these posters have us eager for the day when faster-than-light speed will whisk us to exotic places that will obviously lead to grand adventures that you only previously read about in a book.

So if NASA and JPL could work on making all of that a reality it would be great. We will be here waiting.

UPDATE: Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 3:13 p.m. ET: Post updated to reflect NASA JPL's Visions of the Future campaign that encompasses these creative posters.
