World-class athletes, excited tourists and adorable Pokémon have now made their way to Brazil just in time for the Summer Olympics.
While the human contingent will have to contend with large crowds and rather nefarious microscopic bugs, those Pokémon will have to wade through Rio de Janeiro with the knowledge they are about to be swept up from a nearby Pokéball.
That's right, one of the most popular games ever crafted is heading to Brazil just as the country's famed metropolis is set to open the 2016 Summer Games.
CNN Money reports the game produced by Niantic that has people walking around town catching fictional monsters will now touch down in Central and South America.
Here is the big news according to Facebook:
The pertinent part reads: "Central and South America - Break out the sneakers and Poké Balls, and get ready to explore the world around you. We are excited to officially be putting Pokémon GO in the hands of our Latin American fans, visitors, and the Olympic athletes in Rio!"
Now the Olympics would assuredly have continued even without the popular game.

Considering it's about to welcome its Opening Ceremony on Friday amid political strife and relentless reports on the safety of its streets and local waters then we presume Pokémon Go's inclusion into the festivities was low on the board of what matters most at the moment.
That being said, athletes, tourists and locals can now walk across the expanse of the iconic city and explore its riches while also leveling up - something that has become extremely important in the last month.
Now going to the Olympics for the trip of a lifetime doesn't mean sacrificing Pokémon time.
