Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced a large list of new changes coming to its parks in 2025, including seven new roller coasters, as part of its phased two-year investment plan.
“Our capital plans for the year ahead reaffirm our commitment to providing unparalleled thrills, immersive entertainment and unforgettable memories to guests of all ages,” said Six Flags President & CEO Richard A. Zimmerman. “Whether you’re a diehard fan of record-breaking coasters and water slides, a food lover on the prowl for unique and tasty treats, or a lifelong devotee of over-the-top festivals and live entertainment, you’ll find something to enjoy at our parks in 2025.”
New Park Pass Changes
Travelers heading to a Six Flags will have an expanded All Park Passport Add-On for Gold and Prestige Passholders and Members, which allows for unlimited admission and parking to all 42 of its amusement and water parks.
The pass is available at all Six Flags parks at prices ranging between $65 and $12 depending on membership level and purchase location. Beginning January 6, 2025, the add-on pass can be used at all combined Six Flags parks and water parks.
Six Flags Great America
Six Flags Great America will debut the Wrath of Rakshasa, a roller coaster that will break multiple world records. The ride offers a vertical, 171-foot drop, the steepest of any dive coaster in the world, and also breaks another world record for having five total inversions. The roller coaster will also reach speeds up to 67 miles per hour.
Camp Snoopy
Carowinds’ Camp Snoopy will offer two new family offerings in 2025. A new launch roller coaster and an interactive raft ride will offer new ways for families to make memories together at the Peanuts-themed attraction.
Canada’s Wonderland
Canada’s Wonderland will offer the tallest, fastest and longest launch coaster in Canada, debuting in 2025. AlpenFury combines fire and ice with a 164-foot vertical blast and nine inversions. The launch coaster will go 171 miles per hour and span over 3,200 feet.
Six Flags New England
Six Flags New England will debut an LSM propulsion, multi-launch roller coaster, Quantum Accelerator. Guests will enjoy 11 moments of “airtime” on coaster cars designed to resemble hyper-modern motorbikes, reaching speeds of 45 miles per hour.
Kings Dominion
Kings Dominion in central Virginia will celebrate its 50th anniversary with the launch of Rapterra, a 145-foot-tall, 3,086-foot-long wing coaster, which is the tallest and longest of its kind in the world.
Kings Island’s Soak City Water Park
Kings Island’s Soak City Water Park will offer RiverRacers, a dual-racing water coaster, along with Splash River Junction, which will offer a parent oasis and kids play area with seven new water slides for children and a kids splash lagoon.
Hurricane Harbor
Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles will upgrade extensively for its 30th anniversary, with new shaded areas, seating, cabanas and more amenities. The renovation will be comprehensive and include new dining experiences, landscaping and more.
Hurricane Harbor in Arlington, Texas will offer its largest expansion, with a new 58,000-square-foot coastal-themed area with 110 water features, seven water slides, a 1,000-gallon tipping water bucket and more.
