It certainly isn't all that difficult to get a sloth to sit still, considering that's what they do best. But getting one of the slow-moving mammals to pose for a selfie seems like an impossible task.
Well, once impossible.
That's because a group of tourists visiting Nicaragua managed to make it happen, proving once again that animal selfies are the best selfies.
A 40-second video obtained by the Daily Mail and published to YouTube Tuesday shows what appears to be a sloth in its natural habitat filming itself in a tree as the tourists watch and chuckle in amazement below.
Watch below as the sloth sticks its face right up against the lens and reaches its arm around the camera as if its snapping a selfie.
Sloths are often found in the jungle regions of Central and South America, where they spend most of their time hanging upside down in trees. But this one appears to be right-side up.
Based on its ridiculous cuteness and eye for composition, if this photogenic sloth can gets it claws on a camera of its own, its destined to become a social media superstar.
