Armed with a blasé attitude and the kind of media coverage normally given to coronations, the Kardashians descended upon the beautiful country of Armenia, stopping the locals from getting anything productive done during their stay.
Reuters reports on the warm reception that followed the famous sisters in their ancestral land this week.
Snark aside, the visit comes at a very serious and somber time for the country: "Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Kardashian and her family in the capital Yerevan and praised their contribution to 'international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian genocide,' his press service said."
The report, however, does note "She (Kim Kardashian) made no public mention of the mass killings in World War One which will be commemorated by Armenia on April 24."

Whether the sisters will speak to the April 24 date remains to be seen. However, as the video states, the visit will obviously be filmed and documented for the sisters' various reality-television fare.

Khloe offered her thoughts on an important symbol: "Visiting the Mother Armenia statue today in Yerevan. The Mother Armenia statue symbolizes peace through strength. It can remind viewers of some of the prominent female figures in Armenian history. Who took up arms to help their husbands in their clashes with Turkish troops and Kurdish irregulars."
This particular image from Khloe follows with the caption: "The love and welcoming to Armenia has been overwhelmingly beautiful!!! I wholeheartedly, can't believe all of you Angels who are outside our hotel with flowers and smiles. Im incredibly eager to get some sleep and see Armenia in the day light! I hope I'm able to sleep. I'm so excited to be here!!"

It's important for travelers to get in touch with their roots when afforded the opportunity-to reach out and tangibly interact with their heritage.
While anything Kardashian is comedic low-hanging fruit over obvious self-aggrandizing images. There is something very important to be gleaned from a trip back to the land your ancestors called home.
It can be a truly enthralling and romantic look back in time, and one that comes with a much-deserved appreciation from which you came.
We truly do hope the Kardashians come back from Armenia safely and with a treasure trove of memories from a gorgeous land and a rich culture.
