Expedia is getting into the holiday spirit just as you are ditching the pants for bathing suits.
But the travel website's horrible sense of timing is your reward according to a press release that highlights a Christmas in July sale.
From now until July 19, the website is offering discounted packages to various cities. According to the report, those savings can be as much as 50 percent off - although discounts will be relegated to hotel or package bookings.
But consider this an avenue for those who procrastinated on summer vacation plans. With all manner of travel costs rising with the temperature Expedia is giving like a cool Santa in the form of summer coupons.
Visiting the site you will notice what is essentially a cavalcade of coupons that sit at the bottom of the page like presents under the tree. (We're just getting into the spirit here).
These will change over the course of three weeks with the first two now available. The first of these offers up to 50 percent off and an extra 20 percent off select hotels with the code GIFT20.
Or you can try your hand at the other coupon that offers an extra $100 off. As you notice, the savings and details change by the week.
There is an obvious warning that supplies are limited, so tell your friends at your own peril.
