Hickory Global Partners and The Advantage Travel Partnership announced on May 16 at the Advantage Travel Partnership Conference in Costa Mujeres that a new joint venture accommodation program called 'Global Stays—The Accommodation Network' will launch next year.
The new partnership will combine the resources of The Hickory Global Partners Hotel Program, which currently offers 43,000 hotel properties in 71 countries, and The Advantage Global Hotel Program, which offers over 42,000 properties worldwide, including hotels, independent properties, and serviced apartments.
When the program launches in 2025, it will have a total accommodation spend of $2.9 billion and comprise of more than 60,000 properties worldwide, including over one million serviced apartments.
"We have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Hickory for many years, and through our many collaborations, have become the voice of independent TMCs globally," Head of Advantage Global Network John Hobbs Hurrell said.
"This joint venture brings us even closer together and further strengthens our relationship, providing a perfect platform to deliver significantly more hotels for our collective membership, as well as provide more opportunities for our hotel and serviced apartment suppliers, "Hurrell continued.
Both Hickory Global Partners and The Advantage Travel Partnership believe this partnership, which combines the strength, reach, and resources of both organizations, will enhance opportunities for the members of both organizations, broaden their accommodation offerings, and offer suppliers additional reach.
When it launches, the network is planned to be available to over 1,900 travel management companies, corporate travel departments, and corporate direct across 158 countries.
