Las Vegas' ARIA Resort & Casino is stepping up the guest experience in the new year with the launch of pioneering in-room technology.
The Sin City resort has teamed up with guest service software company Crave Interactive to launch the specialized tablets across all 4,004 of its guestrooms.
Since the tablets will be programmed specifically for the resort, guests will be able to use them to schedule food delivery, book restaurant reservations and order an array of in-room packages depending on the occasion. And just like the dining menu, guests can explore the various spa services offered at the resort and schedule an appointment that fits their itinerary.
What's more, guests will be able to personalize their in-room experience on the tablet by adjusting the lighting and temperature, among other aspects.
In April 2016, guests will even be able to request turndown service and extra assistance from housekeeping via the tablet.
The tablets will also boast traditional features like access to news, different languages and messaging apps for easy communication.
"From its inception, ARIA has been committed to providing both a luxurious and technologically advanced experience," ARIA Resort & Casino's Executive Director Of Hotel Operations Shannon McCallum said in a statement. "We continually seek out ways to improve the guest experience and improve our offerings as trends and technology change. These new tablets are a testament to that pledge."
Meanwhile, in a statement of his own, Crave Interactive founder and CEO Gareth Hughes said the "installation is the industry's largest."
"We are extremely proud to be part of a project that raises the bar for the world's most technologically advanced hotel," he concluded.
The resort said the tablet installation will roll out through multiple phases and there are already plans for future enhancements that will include retail ordering, customized messaging and social media, among other features.
