To help travelers unwind from less-than-stellar family holidays, Hilton unveiled the “Hilton Sale,” which provides discounts of up to 25% for bookings made by Dec. 15, 2025, for stays between Nov. 12 and April 6, 2026.
In conjunction with Morning Consult, a global intelligence and AI company, Hilton surveyed upward of 2,000 adults, which found that “53% of holiday travelers have made excuses to cut stays with relatives short,” with “63% of holiday hosts saying it is exhausting and 46% admitting they would enjoy the season more if guests stayed somewhere else.”
The survey also found that 36% of respondents said they “sleep somewhere other than a bed, from couches to air mattresses to the floor when staying with relatives,” 32% said they slept “worse than usual when staying with relatives, 38% said they “need time alone within just 24 hours of arriving; and 26 percent said “they eat what is served for breakfast, even if they don’t like it and 53% said “they’ve made excuses to shorten their stay with relatives during the holidays.”
Just some of the resorts offering the sale include the Dominican Republic’s Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton; Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique; Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort, Conrad Punta de Mita and Hilton Cancun in Mexico; Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.
The survey was conducted for Nov. 4-5, 2026, from a national sample of 2,201 US adults.
