Iberostar Group is celebrating a strong end to 2025 and looking ahead, hoping to maintain an investment plan of 1 billion Euro through 2028, developing new projects and renovating existing resorts.
The resort group had a managed revenue of 5.1 billion Euro last year, a 14 percent increase from 2024, indicating strong success and promising growth in the years ahead.
As Iberostar begins to celebrate its 70th anniversary this year, the company is prioritizing growth. It employs 40,000 people from 95 different nationalities, and has a portfolio of 100 hotels, representing 35,000 rooms across 14 countries worldwide.
This year, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) increased 17 percent last year in Iberostar’s hotel division, driving a cumulative growth of over 60 percent from the last three years.
The Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) achieved 12 percent growth in sales, with particular growth in Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. The Balearic and Canary Islands saw sales growth of over 10 percent, another success. New hotels in Aruba and Miami helped spur the 10 percent increase in sales in the Americas region.
Recent openings in 2025 include JOIA Aruba by Iberostar, which finished its first year of operations and the Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun.
"The 2025 results confirm the strength of a model geared towards profitable growth and a long-term vision,” said Sabina Fluxá, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Iberostar Group. “Continuous improvement in the customer experience and increasingly efficient business management, supported by innovation and digitalization, have enabled us to strengthen our results without compromising on quality. We approach 2026 with a firm commitment to investing, convinced that talent development is essential to creating sustainable value in the destinations where we operate.”

Looking ahead, Iberostar will open two new five-star hotels: Iberostar Selection Montenegro and Iberostar Selection Zanzibar.
The first resort will open on the southern coastline of Montenegro with 290 suites and villas. The new resort in Tanzania will be the brand’s entry into East Africa, located on Muyuni Beach.
The company will also reinvest to refurbish and renovate Iberostar Waves Tucán and Iberostar Waves Quetzal, along with the JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar.
Sustainability
Iberostar’s Wave of Change program has made some strides in 2025: circular economy initiatives renovated over 80 percent of waste that might have been sent to a landfill. Localized projects include composting in Brazil and the Dominican Republic, textile recycling in Mexico and organic waste management in the Canary Islands and Fuerteventura.
Iberostar is also working towards climate neutrality with plans to reduce scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
Ninety-three percent of the fish and seafood served in Iberostar hotels now come from responsible sourcing. The group also partnered with the Grange Pen Marine Sanctuary in Jamaica and the Shocos Sanctuary in Aruba in 2025, to promote marine ecosystem protection.
