Delta Air Lines will soon offer a new option for travelers flying between the U.S. and Japan's largest city.
On Thursday, the carrier announced that new nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Tokyo's Narita International Airport will take off in late March 2027.
The new international service, which will operate daily on Delta's Airbus A330-900neo featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main seating, will complement the airline's existing service between Seattle and Tokyo's far busier Haneda Airport.
The two Tokyo airports are about an hour apart.
"Japan continues to be one of the most important and beloved destinations in Delta's global network," said Delta’s vice president of international network planning, Jeff Arinder, in a statement.
"Expanding service to both Narita and Haneda gives travelers more choice while strengthening the economic and cultural ties that have long connected Japan and the Pacific Northwest," added Port of Seattle Commissioner Toshiko Hasegawa.
