Accor CEO Sébastien Bazin (Source: Sébastien Bazin, Président-Directeur Général du Groupe)
An independent investigation has cleared Accor CEO Sebastien Bazin of all allegations regarding favoritism and conflicts of interest.
The investigation, which was conducted by the Paris law firm BDGS – and launched by Bazin himself following an anonymous complaint – reviewed Accor’s transactions with Paris Society, a hospitality firm, and an alleged inappropriate appointment of a senior executive, as reported in the Financial Times and “Market Screener.”
The investigation was led by Antoine Gosset-Grainville, chairman of Axa, whose AXA Partners unit, which specializes in insurance and lifestyle protection, serves as an Accor strategic partner.
“The firm concluded that the accusations were ‘without foundation,’ findings ‘unanimously approved’ by the board, which closed the matter. Accor says it conducted 'an independent investigation' confirming there was no ‘breach of legal or fiduciary duties’ by its executive, and it reserves the right to pursue its rights to put an end to these ‘unfounded allegations,” Market Screener reported.
