The Handwritten Collection, Accor's bespoke hotel collection focusing on unique, characterful properties, has opened its 50th collection property.
The Handwritten Collection now offers stays in 20 different countries and has a development portfolio that will more than double its current offerings.
What is The Handwritten Collection?
The Handwritten Collection is Accor's group of unique, characterful and independently owned hotels. Accor says it's "designed for travelers who seek stories, not just stays."
"Handwritten Collection celebrates individuality in hospitality and the power of human connection," said Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President, Midscale & Economy, Accor. "Reaching 50 hotels reflects a growing desire for stays that feel personal, sincere, and shaped by real stories — as well as the opportunity for independent hotels to find a home within a global collection brand, connecting with an international audience of story-seeking travelers."
Recent Handwritten Collection Openings
Recent openings include the Hotel Rathauspark Wien — Handwritten Collection, a historic residence of writer Stefan Zweig in Vienna. Today, it's a great location from which to explore Vienna's many landmarks.
Château de Mazan – Handwritten Collection opened in Provence, France, in March, and offers 31 charming rooms within the former home of the Marquis de Sade, providing an incredibly rich history and character to every stay.
Upcoming Handwritten Collection Hotels
One of the most significant new hotels that will be added to the Handwritten Collection is Treasure Island TI Las Vegas — Handwritten Collection, the brand's second property in the United States and located on The Strip.
Opening later this summer is The Queen at Chester Hotel — Handwritten Collection, the brand's first in the United Kingdom. The hotel is located in a beautifully designed Italianate building from 1860, now renovated into a 218-room hotel.
Lastly, but not least, is the Satori Resort — Handwritten Collection, expected to open in Bali in 2028. This resort will offer 154 rooms and private villas in the lush, wellness-centric Indonesian island.
