There's a new five-star hotel option in Laos.
The Le Grand Pakbeng Resort opened 45 new villas in the jungle on the Mekong River.
The area in the northern part of the country is most well known as the overnight stop on Luang Prabang-Houay Xay cruises, which travel along the Mekong River.
The luxury resort features all-inclusive gourmet dining and daily activities. There's a swimming pool perched on a cliff that overlooks the jungle, an Indochina restaurant, the Bistro Lounge and a pool bar.
The villas feature traditional decor with teak wood furnishings, Laos carvings, and stunning views. Each is appointed with high-end amenities, including luxury bathrobes, satellite television, air conditioning, Wi-Fi access and more.
Rooms start at $120 per night and can be bundled with a Luang Prabang-Houay Xay cruise.
