Football fans that thought it was too late to obtain hotel package deals for Bowl XLVIII should think again. There's still space in hotels, along with a roster of packages designed to sate a wide range of tastes.
They include a Loews package selling for a cool $100,000, which includes 20 Super Bowl tickets. For those wanting to enjoy the game in the comfort of a luxury hotel suite, Mandarin Oriental, New York has a package with rates starting at $17,800 - and including a catered tailgating party.
Sports fans not able to spring for exorbitant packages will find a discount at a moderately priced hotel and a healthy smattering of hotel bars featuring the big game. There's even a deal for Washington and Colorado residents at a Florida hotel.
Sofitel New York is offering a $100,000 Ultimate Super Bowl package for 20, which includes Super Bowl tickets and three nights in a suite at the midtown Manhattan hotel. The 20 tickets are for Section 300 of MetLife Stadium. Other inclusions are group transportation to and from the game; 10 suites for three nights; and breakfast at Gaby Brasserie Française. The package is valid from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 and includes late check out.
Mandarin Oriental, New York introduced the Ultimate Super Bowl package, which features guests' choice of the hotel's Presidential or Oriental suites, with their sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. Bringing the game to the guest, the package include a catered in-room tailgate event, including nachos with braised short ribs and white bean chili, Kobe Beef Sliders with avocado and jack cheese, Coney dogs with ale mustard and sauerkraut, pulled pork sandwiches and a selection of desserts.
Rates start at $17,800 for the Oriental suite and $23,800 for the Presidential suite. The package is available from Feb. 1 to 3 or Feb. 2 to 4.
Travelers who book at The Jade hotel (pictured above) by Jan. 24 will receive 15 percent off the daily rate for a three-night stay Jan. 30 to Feb. 3. The Greenwich Village property is convenient to the PATH train. It is also not far from Penn Station.
The Out NYC has a Super Bowl package for two that includes continental breakfast for two; roundtrip transportation to Rutherford, N.J.; cooler with beer and snacks; two free drinks at KTCHN restaurant; and deluxe king accommodations. Rates begin at $299 per night.
Sports fans can watch the game at the Gansevoort Park Avenue's Park Rooftop, where, beginning at 3 p.m., well drinks will sell for $6; shots of Jameson for $5 and pitchers of beer for $12. Wings will be available at 50 cents each. On the hotel's ground level, the game will also be airing at Asellina and at The Windsor sports bar with 16 total screens.
Football fans can watch the game at the Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC's Plunge Rooftop. The game will be broadcast at the newly renovated Loft, featuring a range of signature cocktails. Game viewing will also be available at The Chester on the ground floor with eight flat-screen televisions.
The Pod 51 Hotel and Pop Burger have partnered to offer a $65 open bar that includes unlimited beer/wine, wings and sliders for the duration of the game at their new joint venture gastropub, Pop @ Pod.
And even if you're not in the New York area, there's still deals to be had for diehard fans.
The Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando is offering Seattle and Denver fans a free night when booking two nights at the standard rates before Feb. 28.
The offer is good for stays through Feb. 3, 2015.
It applies to residents of Washington and Colorado.
Resident of the two states are also eligible for free upgrades.
