Posadas, the parent company of Fiesta Americana Travelty, celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for two new resorts in Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Posadas and Grupo Xtra, a real estate services company, are developing the two resorts, which cost an estimated USD $300 million. They will add 1,053 new hotel rooms to the region, a 25 percent increase in the region.
The resorts, Live Aqua Riviera Cancún and Grand Fiesta Americana Riviera Cancún All Inclusive Resort & Spa, are projected to open in the first quarter of 2025 and in early 2026.
The construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony with members of the local government, as well as members of Posadas and Grupo Xtra.
"At Posadas, we are deeply committed to Quintana Roo and sustainable economic growth,” said José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO of Posadas. “Our operations adhere to the most stringent sustainability standards, and we have implemented numerous environmental conservation initiatives. We will generate 2,000 new jobs in the region."
