Following an extensive renovation, the Hotel
RIU Palace Peninsula in Cancun has reopened its doors to guests coming to
Quintana Roo. Debuting in 2012, the property has been considered one of the
most iconic landmarks in the Hotel Zone due to its distinctive architecture.
After the recent transformation, the hotel opens as an entirely
new product.
The 618 rooms at the Hotel RIU Palace Peninsula now boast an
elegant aesthetic with natural tones and warm woods. The sophisticated style
extends through the common areas, restaurants and the lobby, which now features
more expansive spaces with a profusion of natural light and large windows of
the District bar with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
The property has also introduced the Elite Club, an
exclusive service for adult guests with unique benefits to include a selection
of premium beverages, an exclusive specialty restaurant and a private pool with
a swim-up bar. Elite Club guests are guaranteed one of the best rooms in the
hotel, some featuring a private pool.
Gastronomic offerings include nine restaurants and seven
bars. The American Country themed restaurant, located within the 24-hour Sports
Bar, offers a menu showcasing timeless American favorites, while the Candy ice
cream parlor is destined to become a favorite spot for families and those with
a sweet tooth.
Other dining options include the main restaurant with its
international buffet, Italian Duomo, Agave Mexican specialty restaurant, Sakura,
showcasing Asian delicacies, the Steakhouse with a selection of premium cuts
and the Krystal fusion restaurant, serving trendy dishes from the world's most
celebrated cuisines.
Located in the pool area are two other RIU classics: Pepe’s
Food with grilled specialties and Tiki Tako, offering a wide variety of
authentic Mexican-style tacos.
The outdoor areas of the resort now feature six swimming pools:
three for general guest use, one exclusively for adults with a swim-up bar and
the separate Elite Club guest pool.
