RIU Hotels & Resorts this week launched the enlarged version of one of its most popular properties-the Riu Santa Fe in Baja California Sur, Mexico. The revamped resort is now fully equipped to accommodate multi-generational vacationers, with a new Splash Water World aquatic park, a new children's play area featuring swimming pool and slides.
The renovated property will also feature a new entertainment concept highlighted by Riu Pool Parties and Splash Water World events. Riu Pool Party events will feature a series of weekly afternoon and evening theme parties, with special elaborate staging courtesy of the lighting, sound and special effects offered in a new zone reserved for guest enjoyment.
The new guest area features a main pool surrounded by a stage for dancers and the DJ station. A swim-up bar, a new poolside bar and a snack bar are also positioned in the area. Local and international DJs will provide party music and entertainment along with a variety of themed parties.
Four parties will be offered each week. The Jungle Pool Party, featuring a jungle theme and decorations, and the Pink Pool Party. During evening, guests will find a spectacular Neon Party, with décor illuminated in fluorescent colors, and the White Party, which will feature musical hits of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
The Riu Santa Fe will also offer 288 new rooms among its 1,190 accommodations, with free WiFi throughout the complex and in all guest rooms. The property also features a new main restaurant, El Médano, which joins the existing main restaurant, and El Torote, which doubles as a snack bar by day and a steakhouse at night.
Guests will also find three new bars: a swim-up bar, a poolside bar, and a third which features a menu of snacks and meals, plus a new barbecue station featuring grilled lunch specialties.
The resort's Splash Water Park is also open to all guests and features an array of tubes and slides that provide an exciting, fun experience. A new children's pool with play equipment, water jets and slides is located adjacent to the Splash Water Park. The resort also offers a mini-club for children between 4 and 12 years old.
Riu's Pool Parties are included in the all-inclusive package available to all Riu Santa Fe guests, as well as to guests of other RIU hotels in Los Cabos, including the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas and the Riu Palace Baja California, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in December.
