<p>If you've ever wondered what heaven looks like, a stay at the Holiday Inn Aruba could provide a clue.</p><p>Sitting on the best stretch of Palm Beach on the <a href="https://www.travelpulse.com/news/destinations/aruba-everything-you-need-to-know-before-you-go.html" target="_self">idyllic island of Aruba</a>, once you see the expansive white sand beach, gorgeous blue waters and spectacular views in every direction, you may never want to leave. I didn't.</p><p>My family and I spent a day at the <a href="https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnresorts/hotels/us/en/aruba/auaan/hoteldetail/dining" target="_blank">Holiday Inn Aruba</a> during a cruise stop in early January. While eight hours was plenty to float blissfully in the clear, barely-lapping waters, relax by one of the resort's spacious pools and eat a delicious lunch at their waterside restaurant, I briefly contemplated never going back to our boat.</p><p>Alas, I finally left, my family in tow with nothing but memories and a sincere urge to return to this resort.</p><p>
</p><p>The hotel itself is exactly what you'd expect in a three-star, family-oriented Holiday Inn property. It features large rooms with basic décor that is clean and suitable. Rooms do have a coffee maker and refrigerator, which is greatly appreciated by those of us with kids. It's when you step outside that the magic happens.</p><p>The Holiday Inn Aruba is a three-star hotel on an infinity-star beach.</p><p>Not only is the beach extremely long and spacious, but the property features more than 100 beach palapas for elite members and guests that win one through the resort lottery system. The hotel also has a few large pools, an area with special activities for kids, poolside cabanas you can rent by the day and plenty of watersports nearby.</p><p>If you're a hungry traveler, the hotel has a few different restaurants on-site, including an Italian dinner restaurant, a breakfast buffet, pizza place, bar and an oceanside bar and grill. We ate lunch at the Sea Breeze, a waterfront lunch place with delicious sandwiches and salads.</p><p><strong></b></p><p>Of course, if you don't want to pay with rewards, don't despair. A nightly stay starts at just $188 during the off-season, which is a steal in beautiful Palm Beach.</p>
