Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf & Spa has made its debut. The property is the newest resort within the Solmar Hotels & Resorts collection of all-suite properties in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Located on the tip of the Baja peninsula, the new resort represents the first phase of Rancho San Lucas, an 834-acre private resort community that combines resort-style accommodations with residential lifestyle amenities.
"At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, we continuously strive to elevate the experience for our guests and residents. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort certainly does that and more, presenting an all-encompassing experience of resort, residential and golf in the most envied location of all Baja California Sur," said Ricardo Orozco, Solmar Hotels & Resorts vice president of operations.
The resorts were designed by Dallas-based architecture firm HKS, blending a coastal feel with earth tones from the region's desert landscapes, accented by barrel-tile roofs, archways and ironwork for a traditional Mexican feel.
"Great design is as much about personal relationships as it is about creating unique and unforgettable experiences that reflect the authenticity of the destination," said Sergio Saenz, HKS Hospitality studio director. "Ensuring that the architectural design paid respect to the surroundings-from the windswept dunes to the Pacific shoreline and centuries-old arroyos-was key in creating this world-class destination focused around the discerning expectations of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts guest."
Guests can enjoy a private beach sanctuary with lounges and cabanas, two adults-only infinity pools, a kid's pool with a mini waterpark, a first-class fitness center with Life Fitness equipment, a full-service beauty salon, laundry facilities, a health clinic, concierge services and more.
The resort's first phase opened with 89 oceanfront suites in two buildings.
Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas guests have three options for accommodations at the resort-all with views of the Pacific Ocean. There is a Grand Studio, a One-Bedroom Master Suite and a Two-Bedroom Presidential Suite.
Anica is the resort's signature restaurant and offers an international menu featuring freshly caught seafood, homemade bread and traditional Mexican flavors. There is also a poolside bar, Brisas Grill Bar, Deli Cafe, and the poolside Tide Bar.
Coming soon to the property is an 18-hole Greg Norman golf course, which is scheduled to debut during the winter of 2018-2019 as well as a Mexican Village shopping and entertainment center.
When the project is complete, there will be a total of 594 suites 105 of which will be part of the Grand Solmar The Residences at Rancho San Lucas.
The resort is offering opening rates of $429 per night.
