WHY IT RATES: The Row Hotel at Assembly Row offers guests a different way of seeing Boston. Guests are just minutes away from the city and also receive the benefits of being in a neighborhood all on its own.-Jessica Zickefoose, TravelPulse Associate Editor

Fueled by a distinctive mix of industrial heritage and forward-thinking drive, The Row Hotel at Assembly Row brings an elevated interpretation of classic American ingenuity to Somerville. Paying homage to the manufacturing industry for which its neighborhood is named, The Row Hotel at Assembly Row offers both proximity to the city and an authentic sense of place that is stylishly assembled for the modern business and leisure traveler.

As part of the Autograph Collection, The Row Hotel at Assembly Row offers the distinct experiences of an independent hotel stay that is Exactly Like Nothing Else with all the benefits of Marriott Rewards®.

"Our team is thrilled to be officially open and to welcome both visitors and locals to The Row Hotel at Assembly Row," said Michael O'Shaughnessy, General Manager. "We're excited to be a part of the vibrant evolution of Assembly Row and Somerville at large, and are eager to provide a new perspective on Boston travel that affords guests the dual benefits of being both minutes from the city and in a neighborhood all its own."

From the moment of arrival, guests can expect first-rate service delivered in a warm, approachable manner that's fitting with Somerville and Assembly Row's creative energy. An urban luxury hotel boasting 158 guest rooms, the meticulously designed space is striking in its juxtaposition of bold industrial elements and polished sophistication.

In the lobby, floor to ceiling windows create an airy feel, and a sweeping spiral staircase edged in glass and galvanized metal invites the eye upward. A light-filled space enhanced by mirrors and artist Feliciano Bejar's Magiscopes, the lobby invites guests to see Boston differently. Whimsical sculptures made of glass prisms and lenses atop reclaimed automotive parts, Bejar's Magiscopes play with refractions of light and demonstrate how the slightest change in perspective illuminates a dynamic array of possibilities and visions.

Captivating in their ability to show a different world to each viewer, the Magiscopes embody both the location's history and the hotel's promise to open guests' eyes to a delightfully uncommon experience of Boston.

The lobby is also home to Reflections, the lounge and breakfast café named for the dramatic effect of the Magiscopes and mirroring. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, Reflections serves elevated, seasonal fare. Standout dishes include Heirloom Tomato and Maplebrook Burrata Salad with crumbled olive, basil, and Maldon sea salt; Pollen Dusted Salmon with sunchoke puree, artichoke and radish salad, pea sprouts and citrus; and Uncommon Carrot Cake, which features carrot cake "fries" alongside a cream cheese dipping sauce and spiced golden raisin jam.

The beverage program includes new and old-world wines, local beers and craft cocktails. Spirits enthusiasts will delight in Reflections' Elite Pour program, which features a variety of Cognacs, Scotches and other luxe sipping spirits.

The Row Hotel at Assembly Row's spacious guest rooms are made to feel even more so thanks to carefully considered design and tailored touches. Among the accommodations are seven suites, featuring two sleeping spaces.

The Premier King Suite offers one and a half baths, including an oversized standing tub and a wet bar. Every room features a luxe Serta bed, sleek workspace and comfortable and attractive seating options. In-room amenities include a plush robe, CO Bigelow toiletries, Illy espresso machines and Dammann Freres French tea. Nostalgic elements like oversized auto gears fixed to the walls that honor the site's industrial past are at home with today's conveniences like bedside USB charging ports and Smart TVs.

Additional amenities include a communal guest pantry, fitness center, and pool. Located on the second floor but accessible to all hotel guests, the pantry features an abundant supply of coffee, tea, water and snacks. The oversized fitness center has dramatic high ceilings and offers fitness on-demand, Matrix cardio equipment and free weights. Adjacent to the studio is the indoor swimming pool, which is flooded with natural light and bordered by cabanas and lounge chairs.

Large, light-filled private event rooms with floor to ceiling windows are joined by a decorative pre-function space and an outdoor terrace. The Assembly and Ford Rooms are perfect for modern weddings, social gatherings and corporate meetings. A full banquet catering menu and service staff with expert planners is also available. Fully customizable and able to accommodate 300 people at full capacity, the space can also be broken down into four smaller spaces fitting groups that range from 10-150.

The hotel anchors Somerville's emerging Assembly Row neighborhood. Home to vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment offerings, Assembly Row offers a complete urban experience that defines it as the premier area to work, play and stay. Downtown businesses, the Boston waterfront, and TD Garden's world-class concerts and sporting events are just a short drive or Uber ride away.

A block from the hotel is the MBTA's dedicated Assembly orange line stop, which takes just minutes to arrive in Boston.
