Chip and Joanna Gaines, reality TV stars and owners of lifestyle and media brand Magnolia, will celebrate the opening of their first boutique hotel, Hotel 1928, in Waco, Texas on November 1, 2023.
The couple, who gained nationwide fame as home renovators on the HGTV show, “Fixer Upper,” revitalized the building, which dates back to 1928 and is located just a few blocks away from their Magnolia Market shopping complex in downtown Waco. Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners is also involved in the project.
Fans of the Gaines’s can enjoy watching the hotel’s renovation as part of a six-episode series called, “Fixer Upper: The Hotel,” airing this fall on Magnolia Network.
Hotel 1928 will feature 6,600 square feet of event spaces, as well as three restaurants: Bertie’s of the Roof, a rooftop venue; The Brasserie at Hotel 1928, a Southern restaurant; and all-day dining at Cafe at Hotel 1928.
It is currently accepting reservations for both events and hotel stays.
