A plane full of passengers experienced some terrifying moments after the engine on their aircraft caught fire while landing at Denver International Airport on Sunday afternoon.

Twitter images snapped by the passengers show flames blowing out of the tail engine, with more flames shooting from an unidentified component on the runway just behind the aircraft.
Originating in Aspen, United Express Flight 5869, operated by SkyWest, landed in Denver at around 2:20 p.m. with 65 people on board. Denver Fire responded to the scene and all passengers were evacuated safely.
Passenger Rabia Chaudry, who according to her Twitter profile is the best-selling author of "Adnan's Story," confirmed that everyone was "safe but shook." She also indicated that passengers left behind their personal items when evacuating the aircraft.
Airport officials have said that no injuries were reported. Also, the airport confirmed via Twitter that all runways were open but an investigation was ongoing.
All other operations are "unaffected" said the airport.
