Never leave your dog unattended in a car, especially when it's a convertible and still running in front of an airport.
According to The Associated Press, a victim who left their blue BMW convertible idling at the curb outside Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey told police that the vehicle had been stolen Thursday.
While having a high-priced convertible stolen is bad enough, the victim told officials from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey that a 25-pound Jack Russell terrier was also inside the car at the time of the incident and was missing.
The BMW was left idling outside the airport when the suspect reportedly jumped into the car and drove away.
Police said no arrests have been made, but the investigation was still ongoing.
