Second Winter Storm Expected to Hit Northeast
Impacting Travel Donald Wood March 05, 2018

As the northeast continues to recover from the nor’easter that ravaged the region last weekend, weather forecasters are predicting more to come.
Updated projections revealed a second winter storm is expected to impact the I-95 corridor starting Tuesday, running through Thursday, reaching from Pennsylvania all the way to Maine, according to Weather.com.
Temperatures in the northeast are expected to be in the mid- to upper-30s Tuesday and Wednesday. Pair that with winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour and the result could be rain turning to snow.
For travelers, the flight delays and cancelations from last weekend’s storm are still fresh on their minds. In total, more than 1,500 flights were canceled last Friday and Saturday, and commuter transit was halted all over the region.

While none of the major airlines in the United States have waived change fees for travelers scheduled to fly to or from impacted airports Tuesday through Thursday, passengers are being advised to continue checking the status of their flights as the storm’s path becomes clear.
Last weekend’s nor'easter left at least nine people dead and hundreds of thousands of people without power. An estimated 424,000 residents in the northeast remained without electricity Monday.
