Airbnb Adds Car Rentals, Airport Transfers and Travel Experiences

Airbnb is expanding into new categories for its Airbnb Services segment, adding exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 Experiences, the ability to book boutique hotels and car rentals, and much more. 

The short-term accommodation rental platform is expanding in a big way this summer, using AI-powered tools to help search functions and the travel planning process. 

“Travel shouldn’t just be convenient. It should be meaningful. The best trips help you explore, learn, and come home a little different than when you left,” said co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, Brian Chesky. “That’s what we’re building at Airbnb. And this summer, we’re giving people even more ways to do it—from incredible places to stay and boutique hotels that feel like Airbnb, to unforgettable World Cup experiences and services that make your trip easier.”

• Travelers can now order groceries delivered to their Airbnb even before they arrive. 
• Those arriving via airplane can book a private car service to and from their Airbnb and the airport with Welcome Pickups, available  in over 160 cities worldwide. 
• Store your luggage before check-in or after checkout with a partnership with Bounce, which offers 15,000 locations across 175 destinations. 
• Travelers can now rent a car through the Airbnb app. 
• Airbnb Experiences have been expanded, now offering over 3,000 local-led tours to iconic attractions from the Tower of London to the Taj Mahal. 
• FIFA World Cup Experiences are available to book across the six host cities, from training with iconic football legends to intimate watch party experiences. 
• Airbnb travelers can now book from a selection of thousands of boutique and independent hotels in twenty top destinations around the world, directly through the app.
