Travel advisors overwhelmed by the mountain of seemingly endless administrative tasks, which more times than not impede developing new business can take heart.
Tern may very well have the remedy with the launch of agentic AI software, which sets goals and acts autonomously to achieve them.
The software is available to all advisors June 10, with paid tiers priced based on usage.
Additionally, Tern will conduct a webinar at 3:30 p.m. EDT for advisors wanting to learn more about it.
“For years the answer to growth was to hire or outsource to someone. We think that tradeoff is over,” said David Shull, CEO of Tern, an operating system travel advisor community.
“Advisors can now grow without hiring and spend their hours curating trips and driving new business,” he added. “This is the beginning of the travel advisor’s assistant that you never had to hire, and we built it first.”
Tern’s AI can read advisors’ inboxes, flag essential information, create cruise proposals and drafts messages based on the “full context of the trip,” Tern said. “Nothing happens until the advisor approves it. This is only the start of what it does.”
The agentic AI can also identify where advisors are losing time. After acquiring Lucia, a marketplace where advisors hire freelancers for support, Tern discovered that itinerary building, the largest category of posted – receive no applications 89% of the time.
The end result? Advisors were tending to the time-consuming work themselves.
“That’s the ceiling Tern’s AI is designed to remove” the companpy said.
Tern has also found a solution for AI risk factors. “The launch answers a broader problem for large host agencies. Advisors have been pasting client and proprietary data into tools like ChatGPT, and hosts have had no safe way to let thousands of contractors use AI without that risk,” company said, nothing that’s AI only works only on data inside its secure platform”
Mershawn Foley of Travel With Mershawn, a luxury specialist, has seen the results of Tern’s agentic AI for himself.
