In fact, Polarsteps is as close as you might get to a set-it-and-forget-it kind of travel blogging solution. Consider it the publishing tool for the lazy, borne out of obvious travel needs.
Essentially, the app tracks your travels in an intuitive manner, utilizing triangulation rather than GPS technology, which Polarsteps maintains helps save crucial battery power.
Now TechCrunch notes that this particular app is in its beta phase, but it's about to get far more immersive and accessible.

The technology website announced that Polarsteps proudly moved into a fiscally strong direction recently: "The Amsterdam-based company raised a modest €500,000 ($563k) in seed funding from Silver Point Ventures and TMG last week. The funds will be used to bring its iOS app (currently in public beta) to feature-completion, and to launch an Android version."

It's no secret that blogging on the go can be a trying endeavor at times. When Internet is at a premium, it's near impossible to fill your social media feed with a constant onslaught of photos or updates.
Sometimes this is something accomplished well after your trip has ended.
Polarsteps aims to be that solution that allows you the traveler an avenue to keep your readers updated as to where in the world you are at the moment.
Of course, this would be a fine tool for that family member that wants to let loved ones keep track of their epic adventure through various continents.
