Until you can literally travel to a delightful destination, Sygic is helping you enjoy the location virtually.
This week the GPS leader Sygic unveiled its new VR app that allows those with a Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus VR headset the opportunity to instantly transport themselves to a place they have previously enjoyed or one they are absolutely dying to see.
It's all thanks to virtual reality technology and one intrepid Sygic employee who is spending the better part of the year scouring the globe with a 360-degree camera.
While you can't enjoy that dream job you can get in on the fruits of that labor with the Sygic VR App.
Via a press release, Sygic's founder and CEO Michal Stencl had this to say on the company's recent foray into travel and the remarkable world of virtual reality: "Sygic has developed the most advanced travel planner. The addition of new VR app to our suite of travel tools means we are now able to offer the best travel experience, on the road, off the road, and now in virtual reality too. Our goal is to inspire drivers and travelers to explore the world with confidence."
Back in May we offered a spotlight on Sygic's new and welcomed embrace of the travel industry with the launch of its travel app.

For those with the proper headset lying around the house, you can hop into a location thousands of miles away instantaneously.
Desktop users can get a semblance of what you might enjoy when you scroll down and experience one of three examples.

The link above will entice the Internet traveler with breathtaking images of London's Trafalgar Square, New York's Time Square or the Louvre in Paris.
There is some good news/bad news in this regard, because you will be flooded with a wave of wanderlust that will have you hoping for a vacation to any number of cities around the world.
Sadly, these kinds of things can only be satisfied with an actual trip, but that's what is wonderful about VR and travel's evolution to incorporate the technology.
Not only do we get to see where we are going, we in some ways feel as if we are familiarizing ourselves with it in the closest manner ever imagined.
It will undoubtedly fuel so many trips for those not quite certain they would need an International holiday.
