The future of travel appears fast.
According to Architectural Digest, travelers could be exploring the U.S. from the comfort and convenience of their hotel room within the next decade.
Architecture student Brandan Siebrecht's imaginative idea, which won this year's Radical Innovation Award, would connect 13 hotels in major U.S. cities and transport guests all over the country from inside their hotel room using Tesla CEO Elon Musk's Hyperloop technology.
The Hyperloop Hotel would connect Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Denver, Sante Fe, Austin, Chicago, Nashville, Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston.
"Collectively, the jury was truly blown away by Brandan's concept," Radical Innovation founder John Hardy told CNN Travel. "Hyperloop Hotel has the ability to disrupt the way we live entirely, beyond the hospitality industry. Radical Innovation exists to help bring these types of ideas to fruition."
If the ambitious project comes to fruition, guests will shell out a $1,200 flat fee to access the hotel's network of cities. (However, it's unclear how much a one-night stay would cost.)
Each hotel would cost at least $10 million to build. Siebrecht's concept would utilize repurposed shipping containers, with highlights including an office space, a living room with a flat-screen TV, a bedroom and a bathroom.

Musk's Hyperloop aims to transport people at speeds as high as 750 mph, which would mean traveling from Philadelphia to New York in about 10 minutes. It remains to be seen whether the hotel rooms could travel that fast.

While a lot has to happen in order for the Hyperloop Hotel to go from dream to reality, Siebrecht is optimistic that construction could begin in as soon as five years.
Siebrecht told CNN "the concept is completely feasible" and said he's open to partnering with Tesla on the hotel.
What's more, it seems most people are ready for Hyperloop rail travel with 64 percent of people indicating they believe it will be a safe travel method in the future, according to a recent survey from Allianz Global Assistance.
