AdventureWomen has just announced nearly two dozen offerings for 2019 that will take solo female travelers on journeys to Vietnam, Russia, Everest Base Camp and even on the Trans-Siberian Railroad.
What’s more, in celebration of Women’s History Month in March, the company also recently launched new mother-daughter adventures to Iceland and Baja, Mexico. The Mexico mother-daughter itinerary includes glamping and snorkeling in Baja. In Iceland, participants explore by foot, ATV and on horseback.
"We know the power of multi-generational travel based on our own family history and we can't wait to share these two interesting itineraries with adventurous mother-daughter duos," AdventureWomen co-owner Erica Landerson said in a statement. "And active grandmothers, we always welcome them, of course, too."
Also included in the new 2019 lineup of AdventureWomen's trips are more challenging tours for more athletically inclined women who like training to reach a milestone such as trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal or biking 30 to 40 miles a day in Southern Italy.
"We listen carefully to what our guests tell us they seek in an adventure experience. These new, more active itineraries are geared toward the increasing number of women who like a challenge and want to push themselves beyond their comfort zones, athletically," Co-owner Nicole Wineland-Thomson, added.
AdventureWomen’s 2019 slate of trips also include a line of "bucket list" adventures, signature trips designed to appeal to women who want to travel worldwide to the iconic destinations they’ve always dreamed of. These trips include such places as Alaska, Machu Picchu in Peru, Yellowstone National Park, and Morocco.
"This year, we've put guest feedback at the forefront of our program design, starting with the destinations themselves," said AdventureWomen co-owner Judi Wineland, who is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Adventure Travel Trade Association. "Through our annual surveys, guest feedback on trips, and continual check-ins with our AdventureWomen Advisory Board, we're able to quickly spot changes in women's travel habits and preferences, and fine-tune our own approach to delivering top quality adventure experiences."
More than 50 percent of AdventureWomen clients are repeat guests, according to the company. And those guests have an insatiable thirst for adventure.
In fact, several of the company’s 2019 trips have already sold out, leading AdventureWomen to add more departures for several destinations.
"In addition to epic adventure travel destinations, we like to include itineraries with unrivaled cultural offerings for an 'insider' experience," said Nicole Nicole Wineland-Thomson. "We believe adventure travel is about breaking boundaries and immersing oneself in new cultures and ways of life. We've included a selection of culturally transformational itineraries, whether that be through local cuisine, such as vineyard hopping on the iconic Camino de Santiago trail in Spain, or experiencing a time-honored festival, such as Holi in India."
