Interest in travel to Europe is on the rise following more than a year of border restrictions. Now that travel to the EU is more accessible, G Adventures has announced the launch of new Christmas markets tours.
The new tours feature Christmas markets in Germany and Austria and were created as a result of increased interest from Americans, who are looking for more options for European travel.
"The 2020 holiday season was tough for many, with COVID-19 restrictions keeping friends and family from spending time together. This year, with travel restrictions loosening a bit, we're excited to launch these new festive tours to help travelers recapture the spirit of the season," says Ben Perlo, managing director of U.S. and Latin America for G Adventures.
"We're also seeing a significant increase in interest, and bookings, for tours in Europe with double the number of Americans booking this past August compared to August 2019, so our new Christmas market tours are well-timed to capture both the pent-up travel demand and the desire to celebrate the holiday season," Perlo added.
G Adventures is offering four different departures that begin in late November and run through the end of December on its Christmas in Central Europe-Berlin to Vienna. The seven-day trip visits Berlin, Nuremberg, Salzburg and Vienna. Trips start from $1,649 per person and can also be taken in reverse, starting in Vienna.
The Christmas in Central Europe trips are part of G Adventures' new Vaccinated Tours program which requires all travelers, and the group's chief experience officer (or CEO), to be fully vaccinated at least 14-days before the tour departs.
