Nepal's leading trekking operators are making a trek of their own this February as they meet with travel agents and other travel industry representatives in four major North American cities, with the aim of increasing visitation to the remote mountainous destination.
Travel agents in Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto and Montreal will have the rare opportunity to meet the Nepalese adventure tour operators that offer some of the most breath-taking trekking experiences on earth.
With eight of ten of the world's tallest peaks, Nepal offers an exploration for nearly every ability level, whether it's a gentle walk or a rigorous camping expedition.
While Mount Everest base camp adventures will certainly be represented at the series of four meet-and-greet events, operators will also discuss lesser-known but much more accessible treks such as the one to Phoksundo Lake. One of Nepal's deepest lakes, Lake Phoksundo is located at an elevation of nearly 10,000 feet above sea level in Shey Phoksundo National Park, the largest national park in Nepal.
Attendees will be able to meet directly with the entire delegation at each event, makings this a perfect opportunity to bring client questions and learn more about the best ways to explore this Himalayan country.
