Do you think you have what it takes to earn the title of "The Ultimate Funjetter"? If so, you could win 40 nights of vacation.
Funjet Vacations announced Friday that it is celebrating 40 years of travel business by hosting a nationwide contest called The Search for the Ultimate Funjetter.
One lucky winner and a guest will be given 40 nights of vacation and sent to 10 destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico and the United States all compliments of Funjet.
Funjet Vacations is a family-owned business 40 years in the making. The La Macchia Family built their business from the ground up through special relationships with the best hotels and resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean and Hawaii and by providing vacation packages to travelers nationwide.
"Forty years as a successful business is a milestone we're very proud of," says Bill La Macchia Jr, chief engagement officer of Funjet Vacations. "We're using this as an opportunity to give back to those who have supported us - travel agents, vacationers and our destination partners."
"We create Funjet Insider content to share our passion for travel and as a way to take you behind the scenes to some of the most popular vacation destinations," La Macchia says.
Funjet is asking participants to submit a piece of their creative work - photos, videos, or blog posts - and some insight into why they should be considered the Ultimate Funjetter. "We're excited to see how the Funjet community will share their passion for travel with us."
Funjet is also working with the travel agent community to encourage their clients to participate.
The Search for the Ultimate Funjetter prize includes trips to Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Punta Cana, Hawaii,Puerto Vallarta, the Riviera Nayarit, Los Cabos, Jamaica's Negril and Montego Bay and Las Vegas.
Funjet will send the winner to a number of elegant resorts including El Dorado Maroma by Karisma, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation, Hilton Puerto Vallarta, Marival Residences & World Spa, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, Riu Palace Tropical Bay, Royalton White Sands, The Bellagio Las Vegas and Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun.
The grand prize winner has a total of 15 months to use the 40 nights of vacation. In addition, the winner will not only experience the beautiful hotels and vibrant destinations, but he or she will also be sent on local excursions at each location.
Five finalists will be chosen by a panel of Funjet Vacations judges, and the public will vote on who should become The Ultimate Funjetter.
Funjet will accept electronic submissions through March 27, 2014.
