Travel Bound added new features to its website to help agents quickly and easily find, compare and book hotels, tours, transfers and pre- and post-cruise products for independent travel clients. A new Hotel Quick Search feature reduces the number of steps it used to take to find hotels. Hotel search results may be displayed in three ways: a minimal list view, permitting more than 50 properties to be shown per page; full details; or a map view. Hotel descriptions now include Trip Advisor reviews. A new comparison function allows agents to select and compare several hotels, their features and their rates. Finding destinations on the redesigned site now requires fewer steps. All an agent needs to do to book a hotel is to type the first three or four letters of the city name, and all cities starting with those letters will be displayed.
A new Sign On shortcut allows agents to save Travel Bound's index page to their Favorites folder or desktop, eliminating the need to sign on in the future. The booking process has been streamlined into fewer steps, and a show/hide function allows the booking to be expanded or condensed. The up-sell feature has also been improved to make it easier to search for and book additional products, such as sightseeing tours and transfers.
Agent commission starts at 10 percent for individual products, 15 percent for pre-set packages. Selling exclusively to travel agents and tour operators since 1982, Travel Bound is a wholesale provider of travel products for independent travelers and groups, offering more than 31,000 hotels in 120 countries worldwide plus a range of sightseeing tours, attractions, excursions, transfers and other travel services.
