As Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) enters its 23rd year, the city's signature dining event is once again proving that great food can drive impact. This year, Houston Restaurant Weeks will run from August 1 through September 7, 2026, featuring more than 350 participating restaurants across the greater Houston region.

For travel professionals, HRW represents a compelling reason for leisure travelers, weekend visitors, convention attendees, and local explorers to experience the country’s most diverse culinary scene through a good cause.

A Signature Houston Experience Returns

Produced by The Cleverley Stone Foundation, Houston Restaurant Weeks has become one of the region's most recognizable annual events. Since its founding in 2003, the program has raised more than $23 million for the Houston Food Bank, helping provide the equivalent of over 70 million meals throughout Southeast Texas.

This year's event will feature specially priced prix fixe brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, giving diners the opportunity to enjoy some of Houston's most celebrated restaurants while supporting a worthy cause; a portion of every participating meal benefits the Houston Food Bank.

For visitors, it creates an accessible entry point into Houston's acclaimed culinary scene. For travel advisors, it provides a powerful storytelling opportunity around one of Houston's strongest tourism assets—food.

A Culinary Journey Across Greater Houston

One of HRW's greatest strengths is its geographic reach. Participating restaurants span destinations and districts throughout Greater Houston, including:

  • Downtown Houston
  • Midtown
  • The Galleria
  • The Inner Loop
  • Sugar Land
  • The Woodlands
  • East End
  • West Houston
  • Galveston

This broad participation encourages visitors to explore beyond traditional tourism corridors and discover the diversity that defines Houston's culinary identity.

From award-winning chef-driven concepts and luxury steakhouses to international cuisines that reflect Houston's multicultural population, the event showcases why Houston continues to be recognized as one of America's most dynamic food cities.

New Restaurants Bring Fresh Energy

The 2026 lineup includes a strong mix of returning favorites and exciting newcomers. New participants this year include:

And other notable additions.

Meanwhile, longtime HRW favorites such as Brennan's Houston, Hugo's, Mastro’s Steakhouse, Xochi, Nobu, B&B Butchers, Traveler's Table, and Bludorn return to the program. Along with a plethora of other local greats.

For travel professionals planning itineraries, recommending weekend getaways, or promoting Houston experiences, the variety of participating restaurants offers something for every traveler profile and budget.

Opportunities for Hotels and Tourism Partners

Houston Restaurant Weeks presents valuable partnership opportunities across the tourism ecosystem. For years, Houston Hotels have leveraged HRW by creating weekend staycation promotions, dining-focused itineraries, and convention attendee recommendations.

Destination marketers can integrate HRW into seasonal campaigns, while meeting planners can encourage attendees to extend their stays and experience Houston's restaurant scene outside conference hours.

The event's timing also aligns well with travelers seeking value-driven experiences, as prix fixe menus provide a premium dining experience at approachable price points.

More Than Dining

Perhaps the most compelling aspect of Houston Restaurant Weeks is its community impact.

At a time when both consumers and travelers increasingly seek purpose-driven experiences, HRW offers a meaningful proposition: enjoy a great meal while helping fight hunger across Southeast Texas. Since the event's inauguration, its fundraising efforts have become one of Houston Food Bank's most significant annual sources of support.

For travel professionals, that creates a powerful narrative that combines culinary excellence, community engagement, and economic support for local businesses.

Looking Ahead

As Houston Restaurant Weeks prepares to launch on August 1, the event once again demonstrates the powerful relationship between hospitality, tourism, and community impact. Whether visitors are discovering Houston for the first time or rediscovering favorite neighborhoods, HRW offers a compelling reason to explore the city through its restaurants.

For travel professionals, the message is clear: Houston Restaurant Weeks represents one of Space City’s many successful tourism and community engagement initiatives, showcasing the culinary diversity, hospitality spirit, and philanthropic heart that make the city a world-class destination.
