The World's Largest Sphere is here.
It’s a concert venue. It’s a giant billboard. It’s a “next-generation entertainment medium”, and it’s taking social media by storm.
The Sphere in Las Vegas is an epic example of next-level entertainment.
The dazzling spectacle captivated the globe last week as images rapidly spread around. The wild part to me is that this thing isn’t even fully open yet.
Currently, it’s just the venue's exterior – the Exosphere – that is on display and changing images often. That’s made for some fun social media posts that make you wonder; wait, is that Photoshop?
The Sphere is expected to open in September 2023.
I fully expect more sphere-like copycats to pop up around the globe by 2030. And I can’t wait to see what other types of entertainment come to life given how fast technology continues to advance.
Destinations, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, theme parks, etc. all need to continue to innovate and create next-level entertainment options for travelers.
All these businesses and destinations try to outdo each other with what they can do to entice people to visit, which is definitely a win for the traveler.
It’s certainly no surprise that Las Vegas is leading the way in next-level entertainment.
