A previous incarnation of the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel is currently in the midst of a multi-million-dollar renovation project, which the company announced is set for completion this autumn. The hotel is ideally situated steps away from the original Knott’s Berry Farm theme park in Southern California’s Buena Park area, and mere minutes from other popular Orange County attractions and entertainment destinations.
This fall, it will emerge sporting a new name and complete redesign of every space, including all guest rooms and public areas, such as s a new guest registration desk and great room, outdoor courtyard, refurbished swimming pool, expanded gift shop, a new coffee stop, and a brand-new restaurant and bar concept.
The overhauled property promises to embody a fresh expression of the classic hospitality and homeliness for which the Knott family’s enterprise was famous. Set to be rechristened Knott’s Hotel, the property is being entirely revamped with a refined farmhouse-chic aesthetic that pays homage to the storied establishment’s humble origins and early history as a working farm, as well as its founders, Walter and Cordelia Knott.
Its 322 redesigned guest rooms will capture the feel of a stylish country guesthouse, reflecting the rustic warmth and provincial charm established by its founding family. Each room has been fully transformed with thoughtful design details and hand-crafted accents that create an upscale farmhouse feel. Freshly updated family-size rooms will supply ample space to accommodate up to six guests, along with extra amenities, like a mini-refrigerator and kitchenette.

An original new dining concept, which—in a nod to the Knotts’ farm’s original 30 acres property—is named 30 Acres Kitchen and Bar will serve creative twists on classic American-style cuisine, complete with seasonal signature dishes tied to the time of year. Alongside the full-service restaurant will sit a double-sided, 300-degree wraparound bar that also extends into the main lobby, which will serve locally inspired craft cocktails and small bites.
Given the hotel’s ambition to attract both business and leisure travelers—as well as become one of Orange County’s premier places to hold corporate meetings, special events and weddings—20,000 square feet of flexible event venues, spread across two hotel floors, are also being incorporated. These elegant, yet welcoming, gathering spaces can be configured to host everything from small-scale conventions and business meetings to seated full-service dinners for more than 300 guests.
