The Radisson Collection has added a new property to its portfolio in the heart of Rome.
Built in 1881, the historic Palazzo Montemartini is an iconic hotel known for both its elegance and its central location close to the Baths of Diocletian and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli designed by Michelangelo.
The property features 82 rooms and suites including Superior Rooms, a Skylight Suite and a large Penthouse Suite with a private panoramic terrace.
"We couldn't have hoped for a worthier destination than Rome for the new addition to the Radisson Collection," Yilmaz Yildirimlar, area senior vice president Central and Southern Europe, said in a statement. "This city of great legends and artists has charmed its visitors for more than 2,000 years with its stunning architecture, culinary delights and impressive history. We're looking forward to bringing all of these experiences to life for guests at the Palazzo Montemartini, a magnificent building that radiates authenticity, quality and design excellence."
Hotel amenities at the new property include the exclusive Senses Restaurant & Lounge Bar, which offers local flavors and a view over the Servian Wall, the first wall erected around ancient Rome. The Senses menu is a mix of traditional Italian dishes and new culinary creations. Adding to the ambiance are marble columns, a central fountain, and a peaceful outdoor garden.
There's also an onsite spa, Montemartini SPA by Caschera, which offers a sophisticated wellness experience. Features include a whirlpool, heated hydro tonic pool, and a variety of energizing treatment rooms ranging from a salt room, to a hammam, and sensory and chromotherapy showers.
