Inside the New Boeing 777X Cabin

Coming Soon to a Sky Near You

1/6
Boeing has offered a sneak peek inside the cabin of its new 777X ahead of its first delivery next year. The aircraft manufacturer revealed what the next-generation plane's interior could potentially look like at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2019 (AIX) in Hamburg, Germany earlier this month. The Boeing 777X will enter flight testing later this year and is scheduled to be delivered as soon as 2020.

Wider Cabin

2/6
Boeing cabin experience and revenue analysis regional director Kent Craver told CNN Travel that the aircraft's side walls are specially sculpted to curve, creating a different cabin shape that's four inches wider. That could possibly mean more space in economy.

Enhanced Comfort

3/6
Passengers flying the 777X can expect to be more comfortable as lower pressurization will help alleviate some of the symptoms of being at high altitude, including headaches and nausea.

Smarter Storage

4/6
Modernized overhead bins should make storing carry-on luggage much simpler. The 777X's sleek luggage compartments will be able to accommodate bags on their side to maximize space.

A Window Seat for Everyone

5/6
Similar to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the 777X will feature windows employing a dimming effect to control how much light can come through. What's more, the windows will be positioned higher on the fuselage to provide every passenger with enhanced visibility.

Added Flexibility

6/6
For airlines, the 777X will provide increased flexibility. A lighter cabin means more space and thus more freedom for airlines to choose a configuration that works best for them.
