Colorado mountain towns have become a little expensive, but not Estes Park. Just 90-minutes from Denver,
Estes Park's most affordable stay can be found at the
YMCA of the Rockies, which has activities like archery and rock climbing. Next door to the town is the Rocky Mountain National Park, though if you're in search of wildlife, you won't have to go too far as Estes Park is known for large populations of elk (which they celebrate each year with a festival!). All that plus art galleries, a brewery scene and an aerial tramway will make for a phenomenal trip.
