Each year ushers in a new crop of exciting hotel openings around the globe - places that jet-setters far and wide will want to add to their to-do list. In 2019, there will be dozens of noteworthy arrivals from New York to London and everywhere in between. Here's a look at some of the hotels to keep on your radar for the year ahead.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

A resort that aims to be playful and inviting, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana will offer a water park with a Lazy River, Grotto Cascades, three tall slides, water cannons and so much more. The 375-suite property, which shares 40-plus acres with Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, will also feature a massive two-story Zen Spa that's 22,750 square feet and a fitness center with Zumba and Spinning rooms. Like its sister property Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, this new property is slated to come online in the fall.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana

The 375 suite Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana will be a contemporary and chic adults-only resort. Located about 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, the all-inclusive resort is perched on a quarter-mile of powder white sand beaches and shares a prime 40-plus acre oceanfront site with the all-ages resort Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. Additional shared features with Hyatt Ziva will include a water park, a two-story spa, and a fitness center that includes two cardio areas, as well as Spinning and Zumba rooms. There will be six restaurants and three bars and lounges that are unique to Hyatt Zilara Capa Cana.

La Casa de la Playa, Mexico

Destino Xcaret, the creators of the wildly popular Hotel Xcaret Mexico, recently announced the brand's second hotel. The boutique La Casa de la Playa is slated to open this summer with 63 suites in three category concepts: Nature, Fun, and Wellness.

The property will also offer four restaurants, two pools, a spa, a chocolate confectionary shop, a wine cellar, and a library. Like Hotel Xcaret Mexico, the new resort is aimed at well-traveled families looking for something off-the-beaten-path along the Riviera Maya.

Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda

Club Med will open its newest Caribbean property at the end of 2019. The $100 million Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda is set amid a secluded paradise on the Dominican Republic's northern coast and will be the first accommodation in the up-and-coming region of Miches. The 93-acre retreat features four boutique villages, each with their own unique environment, activities and accommodations.

There will also be numerous eco-friendly elements incorporated into the new resort, among them a community garden, recycling and a no plastic straw initiative as part of Club Med's broader global commitment to eliminate single-use plastics from all of its properties.

The Stratford at Manhattan Loft Gardens, England

A new design hotel by Manhattan Loft Corporation, The Stratford at Manhattan Loft Gardens will be located in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Slated to open its doors in April, the hotel will occupy the first seven floors of a spectacular new 42-story skyscraper that's being hyped as a place that will represent a completely new style of vertical living. The boutique, 145-room Stratford will include a world-class restaurant and three sky gardens offering panoramic views of the city skyline.

Sinner, France

Due to launch this summer, Sinner will be the third Paris property unveiled by the emerging French hospitality group, Evok Hotels Collection. Opening in Paris' iconic Le Marais area, the boutique hotel designed by French architect Tristan Auer is offering its own relaxed yet luxurious take on Parisian style. The 43 room hotel will also include a restaurant, bar, and a private spa.

Hotel Arras, North Carolina

Hotel Arras will redefine what it means to visit like a local. The property will feature local snacks; a unique art collection created by between 15 and 20 artists from Asheville and guest rooms with local and regional influences. Highlights of the 128 rooms will include soft, cozy bedding and spa-like bathroom retreats. Hotel Arras will also offer two independent restaurants run by local husband and wife team Peter and Martha Pollay.

Rosewood Miramar Beach, California

Located just 90 minutes north of Los Angeles in Santa Barbara's picturesque Montecito community, the highly anticipated Rosewood Miramar Beach will be the fourth property in California for the ultra-luxury Rosewood hotel brand. The property will feature the only guestrooms in all of Southern California to be located directly over the sand. The resort will also offer six distinct restaurants and bars including a jewel-box oceanfront restaurant, and an al fresco beach bar. And spa junkies take note, there will be a luxurious Sense, A Rosewood Spa onsite

The Dixon, England

The boutique Dixon hotel, scheduled to open in January, is being created with the aim of spotlighting the local culture, art, and design on the doorstep of London's Tower Bridge. Combining the old and the new, the hotel highlights its heritage as Tower Bridge's former Magistrate's Court and police station, while also showcasing modern art from the local artists in one of London's most creative corners. The hotel will also open with the Provisioners restaurant by leading London restaurateur Clive Watson.

Miraval in the Berkshires, Massachusetts

Opening in the summer of 2019, Miraval in the Berkshires will offer the full, legendary Miraval experience while providing new wellness programming inspired by the culture, terrain, and history of its famed location. The resort will feature 148 guestrooms, a Life in Balance Spa offering innovative treatments that incorporate the locale and wellness programming that will pay homage to area's rich cultural heritage and natural surroundings.

Rosewood Hong Kong

Located in a blossoming food, art, and design district on the promenade of Hong Kong's iconic Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, Rosewood Hong Kong will open in winter 2019. Designed by leading global architects Kohn Pederson Fox Associates with interiors by New York-based hospitality design guru Tony Chi of tonychi associates, the hotel will feature 413 guestrooms, eight dining options, and the first urban outpost for Asaya, Rosewood's holistic wellness concept.

The hotel will also offer Rosewood Explorers, a new kids concept designed to inspire creativity and social responsibility through fun and adventure.

Lelewatu Resort Sumba, Indonesia

A relatively unknown paradise in Indonesia's archipelago, Sumba Island offers remote pristine beaches, world-class surf, lush jungles, and rich local culture. In 2019, Lelewatu Resort Sumba will debut in this remarkable setting, located on a cliffside overlooking a private lagoon and the Indian Ocean. Spread over 10 acres, the resort's 27 luxe villas are being designed with authentic Sumbanese wooden interiors, handwoven ikat fabrics, indoor marble baths, and private pools.

Two gourmet restaurants will serve exquisite local delicacies, while the onsite Maraga Spa will provide pampering. Activity choices range from yoga to horseback riding and trekking. Exploring the beautiful coastline or nearby traditional villages, and sacred lakes are also options at this unforgettable getaway slated to open in April.

Hotel Bennett, South Carolina

The newest grand dame hotel coming to the American South, Hotel Bennett aims to offer travelers an opulent and luxurious escape. The property overlooks Charleston's iconic Marion Square and will include 179 guestrooms and suites, a signature restaurant offering views of Charleston's famed park, a stylish bar and lounge utilizing reclaimed pink marble, and a French bakery serving fine patisserie crafted onsite.

Additional highlights include a spectacular rooftop pool with cabanas and bar, and a destination spa offering guests treatments inspired by the area's maritime surroundings. Hotel Bennett is expected to open in January.

Santarena Hotel, Costa Rica

One of the hottest new 2019 openings in Costa Rica, the Santarena Hotel is a bohemian gem located in the town of Las Catalinas. As a car-free destination, Las Catalinas is described as the organic heartland of natural diversity and wellness featuring a rugged coastline and tropical dry forest. Santarena Hotel will offer 45 guestrooms including three suites, a rooftop lounge, and swimming pool, and elevated local cuisine focused on sustainability and farm-to-fork dishes.

There will also be a hefty dose of wellness and adventure activities offered including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and scuba diving.

The First Roma Dolce, Italy

The First Roma Dolce, sister property to the award-winning The First Roma Arte, is set in a beautiful 19th-century building on Via del Corso - one of Rome's most iconic streets, just a stone's throw from attractions such as Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and The Vatican.

The boutique property, scheduled to open in February, was designed by visionary architect Giuseppe Valadier and has 23 rooms and suites that include stylish headboard libraries and Saint Laurent marble bathrooms. (Many of the suites include balconies.) The hotel also offers unique Prestige Fitness rooms and suites that include specialized workout equipment and an option to enjoy bespoke personal training sessions. One more mouthwatering highlight: the property's Italian Patisserie will serve a decadent selection of sweet and savory patisseries.

Hotel Samzeo, Georgia

Omalo, a remote village located between two mountain ranges in Georgia's historical Tusheti region is a paradise for hikers and intrepid travelers. Hotel Samzeo will be the first hotel to launch in this magical area, allowing guests to experience authentic Georgian hospitality in a breathtaking location.

The property includes 43 rooms, including 10 luxury suites and two apartments, as well as a restaurant serving traditional cuisine and local wine and a lounge area featuring cozy wood burning stoves. Hotel Samzeo will be entirely serviced by energy efficient systems and solar power and being designed to be a haven for sustainably-minded travelers looking for an off-the-beaten-track destination.

Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden, Spain

Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden, Mallorca's much-anticipated new retreat, is located in the idyllic Old Quarter, just minutes from the harbor. Hidden on a quiet cobblestone street, the renovated medieval mansion features restored antique frescoes, wooden beams and gothic relics of the past alongside contemporary design and curated modern artworks to elevate the property's crumbling aristocratic beauty.

The 24-individually designed suites feature ornate details including velvet curtains, extra-large king-size beds, and decadent freestanding bathtubs. There's also a secret wild garden that includes a heated pool, Jacuzzi, and spa treatment spaces set in secluded corners among the foliage and mature indigenous trees.

Miraval Austin, Texas

Spread across 220 acres of protected land overlooking Lake Travis, Miraval Austin will be an all-inclusive destination resort and spa dedicated to teaching guests how to create a life in balance (yes, please). Opening in January, the resort will feature 117 rooms and suites, a state-of-the-art Life in Balance Spa, a Body Mindfulness Center and a Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen.

There will also be a Yoga Barn, Mindful Journey meditation spaces and two infinity pools. Not to be overlooked, the resort will include Hilltop Crossings Kitchen, a signature restaurant serving Miraval's mindful cuisine. Miraval Austin will be the brand's second full-scale resort outside of its flagship in Tucson.

Hilton La Romana

Located on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic, the upcoming Hilton La Romana is an all-inclusive adult resort that presents an enchanting Caribbean haven. The property is situated on the best beach in Bayahibe, a stretch of sand that was awarded the Blue Flag Beach Certification, a world-renowned eco-label that indicates a beach has met strict environmental, educational, and safety-related standards. The La Romana also features exquisite accommodations, true gourmet dining (there will be five restaurants and three bars and lounges) and the only convention center in Bayahibe.

Iberostar Grand Packard, Cuba

The Iberostar Grand Packard is scheduled to open just in time for the 500th anniversary of the Havana's founding, The 300-room hotel is expected to include a gym, a garden, three bars, six restaurants and an infinity pool overlooking the Malecón. Guest rooms will offer flat-screen televisions and air conditioning. The property will also offer a daily buffet breakfast, 24-hour reception, and a striking wrap-around terrace. Yet another reason to visit Cuba in 2019.

Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski, Dominica

A resort surrounded by Dominica's Cabrits National Park, an area known for its stunning beauty, the Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica is where luxury meets nature. Opening in late 2019, this new property is being designed to preserve the natural balance between land and the sea while still offering a modern guest experience. The hotel will feature panoramic views, a spa, a gym, and an all-weather tennis court.
