The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) opened self-nominations for its 2026 Board of Directors election on Feb. 5.
Submissions will be accepted through 5 pm Eastern Standard Time on Feb. 16.
“The ASTA Board of Directors unanimously approved an amendment to Article III of the ASTA Bylaws that updates the distribution of Board seats for the upcoming election cycle,” ASTA said. “The amendment creates one new Premium Agency seat and reduces the number of Regional Directors on the national Board of Directors from three to two.”
For the 2026 election cycle, three Director seats are open, including two At-Large Director seats, which are “open to Travel Agency (TRVM) members designated to vote” and one Premium Agency Director seat, “a new position open to Premium Agency members (TRVM with Premium Category),” ASTA said.
“As ASTA continues to evolve, it’s essential that our governance structure reflects the breadth and diversity of our membership,” said ASTA President and CEO Zane Kelly. “These changes strengthen representation on the Board and ensure we are well-positioned to lead the association forward.”
On Feb. 4, ASTA opened nominations for its Entrepreneur of the Year Competition.
